- 1 cup cashews, soaked, drained & rinsed
- 1/2 cup cold-pressed olive oil
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 2-3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano, dried
- Fresh, filtered water (enough to allow the mixture to blend)
This is the first time I've experimented with nutritional yeast, and it turned out fantastic! I poured this cheezy sauce over zucchini noodles with julienned carrots and 1/2 avocado. Garnished with freshly ground black pepper.
